Deborah Lipstadt

Deborah Lipstadt is professor of Holocaust studies at Emory University. Author of six books, including Antisemitism: Here and Now, she is best known for work on Holocaust denial and the libel suit brought against her by Holocaust denier David Irving in the UK, where the burden of proof was on her to demonstrate the truth of what she had written. The judge ruled overwhelmingly victory in her favor. The movie Denial, starring Rachel Weisz, tells the story of this case. She has also written The Eichmann Trial, Beyond Belief: The American Press and the Coming of the Holocaust, and Holocaust: An American Understanding.
