Kate Chasin

Kate Chasin (she/her) is a member of Congregation Beth Israel and a senior at Canyon Hills School in San Diego. She is the president of her school's No Place for Hate club; the co-chair of the SWEAR Committee, which advocates for student mental health in the school district; and serves on the San Diego County Human Relations Commission. This summer, she led a task force to build a standardized mental health curriculum, and she is preparing to participate in a focus group with the U.S. Surgeon General in response to his public advisory on youth mental health.
