Without a doubt, Jacob Rader Marcus (1896-1995) has a rightful place in the pantheon of American Reform Judaism's most brilliant luminaries. After receiving his rabbinical ordination in 1920 from what is now Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in
