<p><strong>Rabbi Wendy Pein</strong> is the director of congregational learning at <a href="https://www.tinw.org/&quot; target="_blank">Temple Israel of Northern Westchester</a> (TINW) in Croton-on-the-Hudson, N.Y. She recently received an M.A. in religious education through the <a href="http://huc.edu/academics/become-leader-in-jewish-education/executive-ma…; target="_blank">Executive Master's Program in Jewish Education</a> through <a href="http://huc.edu/&quot; target="_blank">Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion</a>. We've learned to procure the basics and meet many of our needs in new ways; with digital technology, we have found substitutes that have enabled us to learn and socialize virtually. Yet the Torah reminds us that individualism and isolation are not the ideal state of being.
