Drumroll, Please! Our First Consultation Speaker Is...

March Madness? Indeed! Washington is buzzing with speculation about the speaker lineup at the 2009 Consultation on Conscience. It's THE place to be next month - especially for Jewish social justice activists!

RACBlog has the inside scoop on the Consultation's scheduled speakers - so be sure to watch this space for the latest updates. Today's big news is the confirmed attendance of Michigan Senator Debbie Stabenow! Senator Stabenow is the Chair of the Democratic Steering and Outreach Committee and a key member of the Senate leadership team.

Senator Stabenow made history in 2000, becoming the first woman from the state of Michigan elected to the United States Senate. She chairs the Energy and Natural Resources Committee's Water and Power Subcommittee. She also sits on the Senate Finance Committee, which will be deeply involved in health care reform - an issue of major importance for our Movement.

More updates on speakers will be revealed here over the coming weeks. Be sure to check in for the latest news - and register to be a part of this terrific conference!
