A little bit of effort pays off with these painted and colored apples!
Ages 5-8
Materials:
White construction paper
Pencil
Red, yellow, and green crayons
Blue and purple watercolor paints
Thick paintbrushes
Directions:
- Draw three overlapping apples on white paper.
- Trace the lines of the apples in black crayon. Make sure you press down firmly to make thick lines.
- Color in the apples, making sure to press down hard as your color in each one.
- Paint over the apples using blue or purple paints. Helpful hint: the crayons should resist the paint. Watch the apples become more vibrant!
