5 medium potatoes, grated and squeezed dry
1 small onion, grated
5 eggs, slightly beaten
salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup cooking oil
applesauce or sour cream
- Combine grated potato, onion, eggs, salt and pepper.
- Shape mixture into patties, about 3 inches in diameter.
- Fry patties in hot cooking oil until golden brown on both sides.
- Drain on paper towels.
- Serve hot with applesauce or sour cream.
