Introduction to Reform Judaism an engaging multi-session course for anyone interested in exploring Jewish life through a Reform lens. Hosted at Temple Chai and open to all, this course is perfect for interfaith couples, those raising Jewish children, spiritual seekers, individuals considering conversion, and Jews who want a meaningful adult Jewish learning experience.

Topics covered include Jewish holidays, Jewish life-cycle celebrations, core beliefs, prayer, the Bible and other sacred texts, history, antisemitism and the Holocaust, Israel, the North American Jewish experience, and the diversity of the Jewish people today. 

The lead teacher will be Rabbi Bonnie Koppell with guest teachers:  

  • Rabbi Emily Segal from Temple Chai  
  • Rabbi Stephen Kahn and Rabbi Mason Barkin from Congregation Beth Israel  
  • Rabbi Darryl Crystal and Rabbi Debbie Stiel from Temple Solel
