Trans-Generations: Supporting Grandparents of Trans and Gender-Expansive Youth

Trans-Generations is a compassionate community dedicated to providing support, education, and empowerment for grandparents navigating the journey of affirming and loving their transgender, nonbinary, or gender-expansive grandchild. Join us once a month to connect with other grandparents, share experiences, and gain valuable insights to create a loving and inclusive environment for our grandchildren. This online community is provided in partnership with Keshet and the Jewish Grandparents Network.

Within Trans-Generations, we foster a safe and inclusive online space where you can connect with other grandparents who share the unique experiences, challenges, and emotions that arise when a grandchild expresses a new-to-you gender identity. Whether you are seeking guidance on understanding gender identities, navigating family dynamics, or becoming a knowledgeable advocate, our group is here to support you every step of the way. Together, let us navigate this journey with love, acceptance, and shared wisdom, ensuring our grandchildren feel cherished and affirmed for who they are.

Facilitators are mental health professionals with expertise in Jewish LGBTQIA+ mental health and gender identity. We encourage you to select the cohort schedule that works best for you and come to multiple sessions in that series, but you are welcome to drop in less frequently. If a session that fits your schedule is not currently available, please indicate your availability when you join our wait list so that we can notify you when new sessions open up.
