Vayeilech for Teens: Shabbat Sha-raps

Have you ever been curious how relatable the Torah really is? A group of staff from the Kutz365 Alumni Network decided to spend an entire year rapping the weekly Torah portion, or parasha, from the Torah. Shabbat Sha'Raps started at camp in the summer of 2016, and then grew through Zoom over the course of an entire year. Filmed from Zoom boxes around the globe, this creative interpretation of Torah is a fun and easy way to understand the weekly Torah portion. Join Evan, Matt, Melissa, and lots of special guests on this joyful journey of discovering Torah!

In this parasha, Moses again says that they will be punished for worshipping  idols, but will be blessed for when they have behaved well. He says he will be dying and announces his successor. He also warns of a rocky future.

Moses talks to the people cause he sees the sign
He’s not going to the Promised Land, sorry bro
He’s a hundred and twenty, it’s his time to go

You gotta know Joshua, the son of Nun
He’s taking the reigns, the journey’s almost done
Moses was a poet, I just didn’t know it
He wrote down God’s covenant just to show it
