"One for Each Night," a Value for All Eight Candles

Give Praise to The Maker of Miracles.

Laud the Source of Love that brings forth light.

Light these candles with reverence and with love.

As the Maccabees reclaimed and rededicated the Temple from corruption and cruelty, so do we rededicate ourselves to the values we cherish.

As our ancestors consecrated the eight branches of The Great Menorah, so too we consecrate each light to the ideals we hold sacred.
