Protecting Civil Rights

Description
The Trump administration proposed policies that allow government agencies, grantees, and contractors to discriminate against employees and beneficiaries on the basis of religion while still receiving federal funding. These policies affect a variety of areas including health care, social services, federal contractors, and child welfare agencies and, in many cases, will authorize discrimination against religious minorities, LGBTQ people, and women. As Jews, we know that state-sanctioned discrimination quickly becomes a stain on the nation and believe that the government should never discriminate using taxpayer funding.
