Young children can feel more involved and included in Yom Kippur with holiday crafts. Help them decorate placemats, napkins, even a tablecloth, that can be displayed at the Yom Kippur break-fast.
Materials:
- Solid-colored placemats, napkins, tablecloth
- Fabric paints
- Paintbrush or foambrush
- Apple or potato printers
- Iron
Directions:
Kids can paint freehand, use foam brushes with stencils to paint patterns and designs, or use the apple/potato print techniques to make a set of pretty placemats, napkins, and a tablecloth.
Helpful hint:
Most fabric paints need to be 'heat set' with an iron for washability, so some adult participation is required.
